Spoelstra and LeBron's Bump : Making Something Out Of Nothing

Okay, so in last nights game there was a little altercation between Coach Spo and LeBron that some people thought was the end of the world. LeBron was walking off the court, furious. At the same time, Spoelstra was storming onto the court, also furious. These two did not move out of each others way, and although they were not talking or looking at each other, they bumped into each other. Spoelstra kept on coaching and LeBron did not break stride walking to the bench. Yet somehow, the media finds a way to turn this event into world war 3. For those of you that did not see this clip, check it out.
Okay, so when you slow the tape down you can clearly see that neither one of these men even glanced in the other's direction. They most likely did not see each other. On top of that, NO coach would let that slide if they thought it was intentional (not even Spo). They were obviously both extremely frustrated and neither one of them was thinking about manners. And yet, because this was LeBron, and because it is the Miami Heat, the media found another way to blow things out of proportion.

Heat fans should not be worried about this. Part of the relationship between the coach and the player is tension. I am sure Kobe and Phil are not best of pals, and I am positive that Pat Riley was not loved in the locker room. It is part of the game, and the media needs to stop treating every blip in the radar like it is a catastrophe. If the players had a problem with the coach, don't you think that, with all the media attention Miami is getting, we would know it by now?

We all know that we would, so lets not make a big deal out of this. As far as I am concerned, it's all white noise.

  1. In the German news they said after the Dallas game there was a players meeting, because everybody is so upset about the situation.
Did you hear something about that

  2. Yes reports have emerged of Heat players becoming increasingly unhappy with Coach. However, none of these are 100 percent and I do not want to be on this site reporting rumors. And as far as LeBron frustration, he would had bumped anyone standing there while he was talking to the bench, so it really has nothing to do with the fact that it was coach. I will have an article out in a few hours discussing Coach Spo's situation and tonights pregame.
