LeBron Leads Charge Past Wizards : 105-94

This was the game that the Miami Heat needed. This game had intensity, scoring, defense, team work, and everything else you could ever hope to see from the Heat players. Lets break this game down.

Scoring. It FINALLY CAME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Yeah, I know, LeBron had 30 and Wade had 26. I also know that Bosh added 20 points as well. However, that is not the statistic that impresses me. What I liked is that 5 DIFFERENT bench players put up points. The bench combined for 25 points, which is not too bad considering how they have been playing recently. The bench did some damage tonight, which all Miami Heat players and fans can appreciate. I also like how Dampier got some minutes and grabbed some boards. This is a very good sign.

I loved the intensity in this game. Things got very chippy, but players like Howard and Jones were right there to get in the face of any Wizard player who had something to say. Both confrontations in the game involved a Washington player taking it too far, and I liked that Howard did not hesitate to help his team mate after the hard foul, even if it got him ejected.

As far the starters, they brought the Heat was well. LeBron was strong to the whole, and Wade took his game to a whole new level in the second half. These two, LeBron in particular, knew the importance of this game and were not about to let a team like Washington walk into their gym and beat them. Great intensity all around tonight.

This Heat team looks a lot like the Heat team we would expect to see in future games. A group of winners that want to go out there every night and prove to teams they are not going to be pushed around. I know Wall did not play tonight and the Wizards do not have the best record, but a win is a win.

Miami can do some serious damage in the NBA if they could put together more games like this one. The players meeting after the Dallas game seemed to do a lot of good. LeBron has stepped up and become a leader, and he lead this team to victory tonight. For the time being, Coach Spo is safe, and hopefully he will remain that way for the rest of the season.

Miami takes on Detroit Wednesday night. As Heat fans, we need to enjoy this win, and know the Heat are going to work hard in preparation for Detroit. LeBron has proven that he can lead this team, and I expect the rest of the team to continue to rise to his intensity.

Lets see Miami go out there and play like they played against Washington every game.

Get em.
