2 week break

Sorry Heat Fans, but the Heat Wave needs to shut down for a few weeks. There have been more technical issues than I imagined, and with finals coming up, I need some time to work on school. I hope to have a new report out to you by December 20th, which will encompass everything that has happened in the gap and look forward to a Heat Vs Lakers Christmas.

Thank you

Heat Soar Past Hawks

We're heating up.

Miami held the Hawks to only 77 points in last night's victory. They played tremendous defense and Dampier was outstanding off the bench. He was a presence around the rim and did not let any Hawk get to the cup easily while he was on the court. Signing Dampier is starting to look like a very good decision

Bosh played tough around the glass as well. He grabbed 10 rebounds, fought and got some second chance points, and ended up with a double double. We got a solid all around game from him.

Wade casually went out their and scored over 25 points while grabbing 10 boards. He joined Bosh last night with a double double and made it look easy. As the big 3 continue to gel, I expect to see the high number of rebounds to continue.

For the first half, it was as if no one had told LeBron he was not playing Cleveland anymore. The King went out their and played terrific basketball, dominating the Hawks in the first quarter. He did calm down in the second half, but still put up 22 points, got some assists, and grabbed some boards. He utilized his ability to be a role player tonight and got both Wade and Bosh involved.

The one issue I have is that the big 3 scored 75 of Miami's 89 points. That makes me a little uneasy. The past few games what made this team special was the fact that guy were able to come off the bench and put up some points. Chalmers and Dampier both played well, but there needs to be more scoring on the bench.

For tonight's game, excellent defense made up for the fact that there was no bench presence. However, Miami won't always be playing teams with injured stars such as Joe Johnson. If the Heat want to continue this winning streak, they need the bench to score.

But for now, Miami sits at a 13-8 record, and is slowly creeping away from being a .500 team. If the big 3 continue to tear it up AND the bench can get involved consistently, we may be looking at a 20-8 team in a few weeks.

Get em.
