LeBron thinks Heat need to have more fun

In the post game press conference last night, the media did everything they could to antagonize LeBron. They asked him and Dwayne Wade if they should be getting mad, or if they should feel the urge to take over for the rest of the season. This is the most scrutiny a team with a winning record has ever faced.

However, LeBron didn't bite. He simply told critics that the Heat "need to have more fun".

LeBron spoke about how they are not playing on the high level of intensity that they may have played earlier in the season because they simply were not having fun with the game. He went on to say that having fun with the game is what made him the professional athlete he is today.

This is a great point.

When you watch the Miami Heat play, it is clear to see that they are not enjoying the game at times. Recently, they have spent more time being miserable than playing the game itself. You can see in the offensive sets that they are quick to get frustrated and hang their heads. I see this type of attitude more much on the bench than I do in the starting lineup, but it exists everywhere.

LeBron plays some of his best basketball when he is having fun with the game. You have to love the passion and energy he brings to the table, and you can tell he appreciates the fact that he was given this gift every day of his life.

The Miami Heat need to all sit down together and regroup. They are obviously distressed over how the season has played out so far, and need some time to get together to focus on the team chemistry. I believe that the big 3 can bring this team together, and set them in the right direction. All they need to do is understand that they are not going to be amazing tomorrow. This season is a process, and they need to continue to improve gradually over time.

As Heat fans, the stretch of basketball we are going to see in the next week or so will be tough. The Heat are still missing Miller, and are not sure how to deal with the loss of Haslem. As Heat fans, we need to support the fact that the Heat are going to need a few games to get everyone playing together at the same level. With LeBron and Wade leading the charge, the Heat will bounce back in no time.

The Heat have an incredible potential to be amazing, and we need to support them until they reach that peak. Lets not listen to the critics, or anyone trying to tear down LeBron, Bosh, Dwayne, or the Miami Heat organization. Critics are going to be critics, and we have to be fans. People try and put the Heat in disarray because they are scared of seeing them going at full force (and they have good reason to be).

I am sure that by the end of the season, LeBron and the Heat will have silenced all the negative voices in the media.
Get em.

  1. It has nothing to do with a progress when DWade played his worst game of his carrer or that they get beaten by Indiana at home by 16 points..

    They need three things:

    1) New Head Coach, who will introduce the Miami Heat to some half court offense! If they had some kind of system in their game, Wade did not has to go for 1/13 or 4/13 against the Bobcats (I think there was another game where Wade was 1/12 shooting) and the other players would be more efficient with a better half court offense

    2) It's no longer Wade's Team! Yeah he carried the Heat to a Championship 4 years ago, but he has to accept, that Lebron is the better player, he has to accept that he is Lebron Sidekick!

    3) They should put House or Chalmers at the starting point guard position!
Arroyo plays 21 min, cant throw the ball, makes no steals or Assists. And he is not able to play any kind of defense!

  2. You make some good points. However, I believe it is a little to early for any of this to change. Coach Spo need more time at the helm for anyone to conclude that it is his fault. On top of that, he was brought up with Riley's coaching style, so Riley is pretty confident in his ability.

Second, It is too early to say its LeBron's team. Obviously i think it will be, or this would be Dwayne's Heat Wave. However, Wade's numbers have not dropped that much and he has not been 100 percent yet this season. Time will tell whos team this is, but it is not fair to throw Wade under the bus when he is obviously not himself.

House or Chalmers, thats an interesting idea. Arroyo has not been cutting it, your right there. Chalmers has not gotten many minutes at all though, which makes me think the coaching staff knows something we don't. As far house, I believe the reason he is a special player is because he is a spark that comes off the bench. Starting him would not have the same effect. They need his energy off the bench to truly be great. Don't forget Mike Miller will be added to the line up eventually.

Thank you for the comments and please continue to let me know what you think!

  3. I think Spo had his time, even though its early in the season ..
Didnt see any kind of system in their half court offense in any game, dont matter if they won or loose!
The Games the Miami heat has won, they did it because of good defense.

Ok you are right! It would make no sense to go with House on the starting point guard, but they should really reconsider Mario Chalmers minutes.

Is it true that the Heat waive Jerry Stackhouse and sign Eric Dempier?
